Visiting Palmdale Regional

Visitors can be good medicine for patients. Family members and friends are welcome to visit. However, patient care is our primary concern at Palmdale Regional Medical Center, so specific visiting regulations have been established to help enhance the quality of care.

  • General visiting hours are 10 am – 8 pm
    • Only two visitors are allowed at a time in patient rooms.
    • Children 16 years of age and under are not allowed to visit at this time due to the current active flu/COVID season.
    • One overnight visitor per patient is allowed unless safe care is impacted. There may be instances when visitors will be limited due to space, safety, privacy and clinical needs.
    • Masks are recommended in patient care areas.
  • ICU visiting hours
    • The same patient visiting hours apply for the ICU (10 am – 8 pm), however, there may be more instances when visitors will be limited due to the patient’s medical condition. Please check with your nurse regularly for any special guidelines that will need to be followed.
    • One overnight visitor per patient is allowed unless safe care is impacted. There may be instances when visitors will be limited due to space, safety, privacy and clinical needs.
  • Emergency Department
    • One visitor is allowed to accompany an adult patient, a pediatric patient or a disabled patient into the ED. This visitation policy is subject to change without notice.
  • Surgery and Outpatient Services – One adult visitor may accompany a patient who is:

Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not allowed anywhere in the facility or on nearby outdoor sidewalks.

  • COVID+ visitation – In accordance with the current end-of-life, ADA and visitation policy guidelines, PRMC will continue to evaluate visitation on a case-by-case basis. This determination will be made by the Department Director, Administrative Supervisors, Director of Risk Management and/or C-Suite.
  • COVID, Flu, RSV visitation guidelines – If you are experiencing a cough, cold or symptoms of any infectious disease, please stay home.
